Grayson, KY – 01/ 16/2024 Kentucky Christian University (KCU) and Marshall University are proud to announce a new partnership designed to expand educational opportunities for students pursuing careers in pharmacy. Through the newly established Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), students from KCU will now have a seamless pathway to achieve a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree at Marshall University’s School of Pharmacy.
Creating New Pathways for Aspiring Pharmacists
This partnership reflects the shared commitment of KCU and Marshall University to enhance access to high-quality pharmacy education. The agreement allows KCU students who complete the designated prerequisite courses outlined in the MOU to transfer to Marshall University’s School of Pharmacy, where they will complete their Pharm.D. degree.

Streamlined Admissions Process and Preferential Consideration
Under the MOU, students who complete an Associate of Science degree at KCU and meet the transfer requirements will receive preferential consideration during the Marshall University School of Pharmacy’s admission process. Eligibility includes:
Completion of all prerequisite courses with a minimum GPA as outlined in the agreement.
Submission of applications through the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) and Marshall University’s supplemental application.
Successful completion of an on-campus admissions interview.
KCU students who utilize this agreement will receive a $2000.00 tuition discount

Comprehensive Curriculum Designed for Success
The MOU also provides a clear roadmap for students. Before transferring to Marshall University, KCU students will complete a series of prerequisite courses at KCU, such as general biology, organic chemistry, and calculus. Upon matriculation, students will enter the rigorous Pharm.D. curriculum, including pharmacology, patient care, and advanced clinical practice coursework.
